Part 2 of the Walkthrough

Study

  Go back to the study and go to the desk, above it hangs the rest of the photo.  

Drag the piece of photo there,

click on your Eyepiece and you will see 4 characters on the photo.  

  Write down or remember these signs, zoom out and zoom in on the top of the desk. You have to enter the code with the dial.  

  You automatically zoom out and the top of the desk opens, a model of a locomotive appears.  

  Zoom in on the large wheel, on the right see a disk with 3 buttons. Drag the wheel from your inventory there, a coupling rod on the rear wheel will come loose.  

  Pull this link rod to the right and couple it to the other wheel.  

  Behind the rear wheel you will now see a turning wheel, with which you can turn the wheels. You now have to connect the coupling rod correctly to both wheels.  

Turn the wheel until the slot is at the bottom left, pull the connecting rod down.  

  Now turn the wheel 1 spoke further and pull the coupling rod up to the centre.  

Turn the wheel back 1 spoke and pull the connecting rod back down. Turn the wheel 1 spoke further and pull up the connecting rod. Turn back the wheel 1 spoke and pull the connecting rod back down and now the connecting rod is properly connected to the wheels. The rotary wheel disappears and a valve on the side opens, you will find a buffer for the locomotive there.

 

Zoom out and go to the back of the locomotive, there is a buffer missing on the left. Zoom in on the back and drag the buffer to the right place.  

  Now pull the beam to which the buffers are attached to the back and take the coupling rod.  

Zoom out and turn back to the side and zoom in, drag the connecting rod to the wheel.  

  Now 2 flaps on the side will open, take the grille of the locomotive out the gap.  

View the grille in your inventory and open it with the wing nut.  

  Go to the front of the locomotive and drag the grille there. Now a box slides up, take the L-shaped connector.  

  Turn to the side and drag the connector there.  

  You go to the back of your own accord, you will see a sparkle there. Click on your Eyepiece.

Now double click on the opening and you are in the cabin of the locomotive.  

Zoom in on 1 of the round windows and turn the wheel next to the window. You will see a part rotating, continue until you see an opening.

When the opening is in the middle, a turning wheel comes up. Do this also at the other window, you will now see 2 turning wheels.  

  Go back outside and turn to the side, zoom in on the top of the locomotive.  

Turn the 2 wheels clockwise and 2 tubes come up.

  Go back to the back and go back in through the shimmer.

Click on your Eyepiece and look through the windows, you have to slide right and left to get 25 in the left window and BF in the right window......and then you can read: 25BF.  

  Zoom out and go outside again, go to the front of the locomotive. Zoom in on the front and enter 25BF here, the valve will open.  

Open the hatch further and then take the winding key that's here.  

  Go to the back again and go inside, you will see a lever under the turning wheels.  

Zoom in and pull the handle down, 

drag the winding key here and turn the key clockwise.  

Continue turning until you automatically go out, you will now see the wheels turning.

The lever is turned to the side in the middle under the locomotive on the front of the desk.  

Zoom in on the lever, pull the lever up and a gear will come up.  

  Now the lid of the desk opens.  Zoom in on the book and pull the latch away, see what happens again.  

  Zoom out and zoom in on the box on the right, open the box and take the miniature chimney that is there.  

  Zoom out and leave the Dollhouse again by right click a few times. Turn to the front side, zoom in on the roof and drag the chimney here.  

  3 pipes come up, you see such a strange glow again.  

Click on your Eyepiece and look at the pipes from the right side, turn the disc and the pipes go up and down.  

At the right angle you see a complete drawing, 

so you need to turn the chimney to the right angle and then turn the disc to make the 3 pipes go up and down until you see a complete drawing in the 3 pipes

NB: Louis: I'm so sorry but I couldn't do a screenshot of how the solution should be.....It was completely by accident that I suddenly had solve this stupid puzzle. These The Room games are full with this kind of puzzles and I realy hate them. So you have to figure them out yourself. 

When you have solve it then you get white light and the front of the building opens.  

Click on your Eyepiece and zoom in, click on the red drawing and you are in:

Curiosity Room

  To the left on the table next to the armchair is a book, zoom in on the book and unlock the book and read the text.  

  Zoom out again and zoom in on the display cabinet in the right corner. Slide open the left panel and click on the ring, you are missing an object here.

Close the left panel and open the right panel, take the piece of map / globe.  

View this piece in your inventory, also look at the back.  

Zoom out and zoom in on the globe, if you turn the globe you will see that 3 pieces are missing.

Look at the drawing on the back of the map piece and then find the correct place on the globe.  

Drag this piece to the globe and you will see that it lights up red. Turn the globe so that this piece is under the green screen, 

click on your Eyepiece and zoom in.  

You see 6 discs with white lines, 3 discs can turn. At the bottom you see a white sphere of light and you have to slide it upwards via the white lines to the circle. \

For this you have to rotate the discs.  

NB: Louis: You can rotate the discs 1, 3 and 5 but you also need to rotate the tower itself to the other sides to find the correct path to drag the white sphere to the top of the tower. I have made some screenshots that maybe can help you find the right path to the top of the tower.....here they are.....

  When  you succeed, you will see a white light and a drawer slides open in the edge of the globe.

There is a piece of map in it that you then take

look at the back of the piece and then find the correct place on the globe.  

A drawing lights up red, rotate the piece again under the green screen.

  Click on your Eyepiece and zoom in, you also have to slide a light ball over the lines to the circle.  

You can turn the upper part and the middle part can slide.  

NB: Louis: Again another 3d slide / turn puzzle. You must bring the white sphere up to the circle that's on one of the sides of the top cube. Here are a few screenshots that maybe can help you solve this one. It's not doable to provide you with a step by step solution here. If you need a step by step solution, please ask Dick Leeuw  if he can provide you with that

  Another white light and another drawer opens. Take the piece of wood from the drawer, it is the lower jaw of a wooden mask.  

  Zoom out and then zoom in on the fireplace, 2 masks hang under the large painting. Zoom in on those 2 masks

They look the same but there are differences, you have to adjust the left mask to the right mask.  

See how the branches are behind the right mask, zoom in on the left mask and turn the branches in the same position. Drag the lower jaw to the mask and pull it down. Look at the eyes and turn them into position. Finally, look at the eyebrows and pull them down.

 

The branches will turn and a hatch between the masks will open, take the piece of map.  

  Go back to the globe and put the piece in the right place. Turn the drawing again under the green screen and click on your Eyepiece. Zoom in and you now see a sailing ship with 2 masts,  you have to slide a light ball over the white lines to the circle in the crow's nest. The masts can rotate and the gun gates can be opened.

NB: Louis: This one has kept me busy almost a whole day before I finally had figure it out and I had to stop a few times because was getting very dizzy of al that turning and all that glittering light. I'm not going to explain this one to you step by step, that's not doable. If you want a step by step explanation then you must ask Dick Leeuw. Here are a few additional screenshots of the final stages of this terrible puzzle

Success and again a white light, now you see a lever in the edge of the globe. Pull the handle and the globe will pop open.  

  You have to send the red light beam from the tower in the middle to the right side of the tower in the lower left.   There are several ways possible, this is one of them.  

NB: Louis: So you must move the cubes around to the right positions on the board and you also have to turn the two triangles in the lid to the right angle. Here is a solution

In the lid of the globe you will find mask of Anubis.  

  Zoom in on the bracket between the 2 masks and drag the mask there and see what happens.  

  Take the gem from the mouth of the mask. Zoom out and then zoom in on the display case, slide open the left panel and drag the gem to the empty spot.  

A drawer slides open and inside you will find an old-fashioned iron.

 View this iron in your inventory, on top you see a slide and you also see a slide on the side. Slide the button forward and the bottom will open.  

 You can try to pull the handle out but this is blocked. Slide the button on the top back and then go to the bottom again. You can now turn the round button and then 1 of the rods is pushed to the side. Now put the small knob down, this rod is now blocked. Turn the round knob to the other side and now the other rod is pushed out, block this rod as well. Now put the button on the top forward again and now you can open the front bracket with the round button. Now you can remove the handle at the top.

 

Now you have to go back to the kitchen.  

Kitchen

Zoom in on the right door of the stove, drag the handle to the knob and now you can turn the bolt away.  

  You still have a Fire Steel in your inventory, drag it between the 2 large gears.  

Turn the handle and you will see sparks jump into the furnace, the coals will burn and the grate under the fire will go up.

  Pull the drawer forward and grab the handle of a valve.  

Zoom out and go to the sink and zoom in on the valve above the sink. Drag the lever there, turn the lever to the other side.  

 The water now goes through the other pipe to the barrel above the fire and becomes steam there.

The steam goes up through a pipe, outside you can see that the pipe goes further up, to the study.  

Study

Go to the study and turn to the left, you will see steam coming from a pipe.  

Zoom in on it and pull lever H1 down, move lever H2 to the right and make sure that lever H3 is to the left.  

A piece of pipe has come down and the steam can now continue, but if you now move lever H3 to the right, that piece of pipe will go up again.

Therefore, lower lever H4 and the scale can no longer move, now move lever H3 to the right. Now go to the device next to it, on the sphere you see 3 small pipes.

 

Now turn these pipes to the side, it doesn't matter which way as long as they all point in the same direction.  

Now turn lever H5, the sphere with the pipes will turn and next to it the device will also turn.

  The latch on the safe door will go up and you can now turn the other latch away. Take the pipe connector from the safe.  

  Zoom in again on the device with the sphere and move lever H5 to the left again. Turn the 3 pipes upwards and drag the pipe connector there.

Move lever H 5 to the right again and the steam will now go up. Pull down the handle H6 and the steam will now go to the appliance against the other wall.

 

Go to that other device and......

Zoom in on that machine and pull lever H7 to the right, the wheel in the middle will turn but not very fast.  

Now move lever H8 to the right and the wheel will turn much faster.

Now move lever H9 above the wheel to the right and now you can grab the object from the middle of the wheel.  

Click the Artefact to your inventory and see what happens. The Studyis complete and get destroyd. Click on continue.

  View the artefact in your inventory, click on the symbol in the centre and hold the button until the artefact is completely lit up.

The artefact will open and you will find the emblem of the moon, click this to your inventory.  

Go back to the 

Curiosity Room, 

on the right you see a pedestal. Zoom in on that, on top you see the image of a vase and on the front you see half a button.

  Drag the moon here and the button slides to the side, you will find an artificial eye here.  

  The image of the vase is on, click on your Eyepiece and you will see the vase with an object in it.  

Zoom out and zoom in on the doll's head, drag the enamel object to the spot above the eye. The eye socket will open, now drag the eye to the eye socket.  

 You will see a sparkle in front of the eye, click on your Eyepiece and then double click on the eye.  

You go in, see what happens. The vase is smashed and you automatically go outside again. Zoom out and then zoom in on the pedestal, on top of the pedestal is a wind vane.

Click the wind vane to your inventory. Zoom out and leave the dollhouse. Outside turn to the right, you will see a compass rose on the roof.  

Zoom in on it and drag the wind vane there. Turn the arrow to S and see a hatch opening on the roof.  

Zoom in on that hatch and turn the switch up, the S is then vertical.  

If you look to the right you will see another hatch, zoom in and you will see an E on the hatch.  

Go back to the wind vane and put the arrow on the E, the hatch will open. Zoom in on that hatch and turn the switch up, the E is now vertical.

Now put the arrow above the N, then turn to the other side of the house and there you will find another switch.

Zoom in on that hatch and put the switch up and the N is also vertical.  

Go back to the wind vane and nowplace the arrow above the W and turn to the front, under the clock tower you will find the last switch. Also put this switch up and the W is vertical too.  

  A wall slides away under the wind vane.  

Click on your Eyepiece and click on the red drawing and you are in the:

Maritime Room 

  On the left you see the model of a submarine, in the middle you see a safe and a radio transmitter and on the right you see a grille with a window.  

Zoom in on that window.To the right of it is a lever, move the lever to the right and you will now see the large cooking pot coming up from the kitchen with an elevator.  

Click on your Eyepiece and zoom in on the window, you will see a few bolts and nuts on the latches.

  Turn the wings to remove the bolts, the latches are now hanging down.  

  Zoom out and move the lever to the left again......don't forget this.....

  Leave the Dollhouse again and go back into the kitchen, it is right below this room. Go to the niche in the right corner, there is the cooking pot in the elevator,

 Zoom in on the pot and lift the lid. In the pot you will find an artificial heart.  

  Zoom out and leave the dollhouse and go back in to the

Curiosity Room.

 go to the doll in the upper left corner. Zoom in on the doll's chest, you need a code to open the chest.  

  Zoom out 1x and you will see an X-ray screen and a switch on the right on the pole. Zoom in on that switch and click it down to turn on the X-ray screen.  

  Zoom out and now zoom in on the X-ray screen. You see a strange thing on the right side of the pelvis.

Drag the round visor / magnifying glass here and you will see part of the code for the chest.  

To the right of the screen you see 2 arrows, press the bottom arrow to lower the screen.

On the left thigh / hip you see such a strange place again, look at this with the magnifying glass.  

  This is the second part of the code. Drop down even further and in the right knee see the last part of the code.  

  Zoom in again on the chest and set the correct code.  

NB: Louis: You must turn the 3 discs to put on each disc the correct symbol at the 3 points of the triangle that's between the 3 discs, like this

The chest loosens and drops down, drag the heart to the chest.  

You now have to connect the heart, press the button under the heart and 6 pipes come to the heart, only these 6 do not stay attached to the heart. On the edge you see 6 arrowheads and you must first set them in the correct position. Zoom out and zoom in on the drawing of the heart, above the reading lamp. Zoom in further and you will see how the 6 arrowheads should be.  

Return to the chest and adjust the point to the correct position, then press the button under the heart again and the pipes will remain connected.  

The doll's throat and larynx open.  

  Zoom out and leave the dollhouse and go to the Maritime room, 

Maritime Room

go to the back of the safe.  

The window is very dirty, swipe over the window with the left mouse button pressed.  

 Now you can see the mechanism, turn the wheel to raise or lower the pawls. Now you can slide the bolt away.  

  The window will open, pull the window further open and turn the wheel to turn the gear until you can take the item that's in the middle,  it's a small propeller.  

Zoom out and zoom in on the back of the submarine, drag the propeller to the submarine.  

Watch what happens, the hatch opens and you see a glitter above the hatch. Click on your Eyepiece and then double click on the glitter,

you are now in the 

Submarine.

On the left you see a box, zoom in and turn the handle to the left.  

Open the box further and take the metal fin, this is a diving rudder for the submarine.  

In the front you see the door to the wheelhouse but the door is blocked. A grappel hangs from the ceiling and on the right hangs the control of the grappel, with which you can move the grappel down and up. Maybe you can use the grappel to pull open the door. In this position you cannot reach the door, you have to put the boat in dive mode. You can also see a hatch on the floor. Get out of the submarine, then click on the drawing above the submarine.  

The drawing shows how the diving rudders must be in order to make the boat dive or rise.

  Zoom in on the side of the submarine and drag the diving rudder from your inventory to the boat.  

Then put the 2 diving rudders in the position for diving, see the drawing. The submarine goes into diving mode

 

  When the submarine is in dive mode get in again

 zoom in on the grappel controls.

 Lower the lever and you will see the grappel lowering and gripping the wheel on the door.

Then raise the lever and the door is pulled open, 

  ......enter the wheelhouse.  You can enter coordinates on the right, but you don't know which one yet.  

 Zoom in on the steering wheel, there is a book on the right. Open the book and read the text.  

  To the left of the steering wheel is a box with a lever, with which you can go up and down with the submarine. To the left of the box a tube, take that tube. It's a radio tube.

 Get out of the boat and level the boat again.  

Then zoom in on the radio receiver. Open the book on the table.

  Zoom in on the top of the radio and drag the vacuum tube from your inventory to it.  

Zoom in on the front and click on the switch and turn the pointer to the right.

At 80 you hear sounds, zoom out and you see that those sounds go up through a mouthpiece.  

Go outside and turn left, enter the Curiosity Room. You can see the other end of the mouthpiece near the doll's ear.

  Zoom in on the doll's larynx and you will see a green light flashing.

  Turn the pointer under the light to the middle right, you will now hear voices and a message is printed in your throat: N 5.  

  Zoom out and zoom in again on the light, move the slider to the right and move the pointer to the left. Now another message is printed: W 85.  

  Go back to the submarine, click on your Eyepiece and enter. Go to the wheelhouse and fill in the coordinates: N 5 and W 85,

a red drawing will appear on the map.  

  The window is now a big screen, click on your Eyepiece and you look at the seabed.  

  Pull the lever up to rise and turn the steering wheel, you have to look for red lines and circles.  

You have to look at it at the right angle and then it forms a red drawing.  

The drawing then turns white and you are back in the submarine and the hatch in the floor opens.

Now lower the gripper into the hole and then pull the gripper back up. The grab pulls up a figurehead, a pendant with a globe hangs from the neck.

 

Take the pendant and click it to your inventory, you go out of the submarine and the boat closes.

  View the pendant in your inventory, turn the pendant over and open the 4 plates.  

Take the pearl, you now have a pearl and a pendant with the world map in your inventory.

  Go outside and turn to the left, above the entrance hangs the same shape as the pendant.  

Drag the pendant there, the pendant will rotate and in the Curiosity Room you will see that the globe is exchanged with a device with 5 lamps.

 

 Zoom in on the sphere in the middle, pull the lever on top of the sphere up.  

You see an eye and the lamps turn around, the eye can look to the left or to the right.

 

The lamps are now just like those strange screens, click on your Eyepiece and your see arrows in those lamps.  

  At the bottom of the sphere you see an arrow and you have to aim it at 1 of the lamps, then look in which direction the eye is looking.  

Then go to the lamp and turn the arrow in the same direction that the eye is looking.

  Zoom in again on the sphere and turn the arrow to the next lamp.

Look in which direction the eye is looking and then put the arrow in the lamp correctly.

 

Do this with all 5 lamps and if they are in the right position, the device will open and there is an artefact.  

Click the artefact to your inventory and see what happens again: The Curiosity Room is complete.
