If you have found this walkthrough via google search or via another site then you have probably not visited my site.
A lot more very detailed game walkthroughs can be found on my site at: www.pcgameswalkthroughs.nl
Faye King: Jungle Jeopardy is a so-called "Fan made" game and it is Freeware. You can download the game for free. You need to search yourself where you can still download this free game After downloading and saving the Win Rar file, unzip the file. You then have a Faye King Jungle Jeopardy folder. Go to that Faye King folder, open the folder and then double click on "Winsetup". You will then see this screen In this screen you can set all kinds of things for the game ... It is sometimes best to first try out what's the best settings for your computer to run the game smoothly. As you can see I choose to play the game in a "Window" because that makes the old-fashioned graphics a lot better. Also try the extra graphical options if you experience problems. Don't worry about an error message from Windows if that crazy operating system screams that "the game is not installed properly" ..... that is damn nonsense because there is no installation at all, just unpack, do the Winsetup and play via the .exe file. You can of course create a shortcut of the exe file on your desktop, but you have to do that yourself. Faye King: Jungle Jeopardy leans heavily on the Indiana Jones games like Fate of Atlantis and Last Crusade. You can clearly see that the maker is a big fan of the older Indiana Jones games. The main character, Faye King, looks like the twin sister of Indiana Jones and the environments also look like in an earlier Indiana Jones game. Faye King is a freelance pilot and she has her own cargo plane. Faye is also a bit of an adventurer who does not take the law too seriously. To keep her head above water Faye flies private individuals from A to B for a fee. Faye also often takes orders from smugglers to fly their contraband back and forth. |
On the start screen click on the "Start button" to start the game with a little Intro:
Faye flies with her plane above the jungle and on board she has 1 passenger, who will pay for the flight if Faye drops him safely at his destination .....
... but unfortunately .... fate strikes because Faye crashes with her plane into the jungle
The passenger is lying unconscious on the ground, but fortunately Faye is fine.
Faye investigates whether the passenger is still alive and that appears to be the case, but Faye does wonder whether the passenger will still want to pay for the flight.
At the top of the screen you always see the inventory, in which Faye keeps her things.
At this moment Faye has some coins, a lighter and a pocket knife in inventory.
|
Crash site
The passenger is unconscious and the wreck of Faye's airplane hangs up in the trees. On the right edge of the screen there is some firewood in the bushes.
Walk to the firewood, look at the firewood and then take the firewood. Faye neatly stores the wood in inventory.
Go down one screen. Faye comes on a wide forest path and on a branch sits a multicolored Parrot
Left click the parrot and keep doing that until the parrot flies away .....
The parrot thinks Faye is a "Jungle Bob" and the bird screams that Bob is "his only hope" because "Bob will get it right".
Faye can go back up, or she can go right and left. Where the path goes to the left there is a narrow tree and to the left of that tree you see a green Vine.
Continue to the narrow tree and the vine. Then take the pocket knife from inventory and click with it on the Vine to cut it off and store it in inventory.
Right-click to store the pocket knife again and then continue one screen to the left. Faye land on a in between screen and there is nothing to do here.
A butterfly / moth is flying around and there is a red flower and a yellow flower. The path goes up and then disappears behind the yellow flower to the left. Walk up and go through another screen to the left and ...... Faye meets a tourist couple. Behind the tourists you see a large car tire. The female tourist has a book in her hands.
Left click the female tourist to talk to her .......
Faye tells that she has crashed and that she has an injured passenger and asks if the tourists know where to find medical care. Fay also asks about the "Jungle Bob". But the tourists couple has nothing meaningful to answer. Talk a second time with the woman ...... Faye now asks what kind of book the woman reads and that appears to be a dictionary for the local dialect that the natives speak here.
When you are finished talking with the tourists then continue one screen down and ..... Faye ends up at the
Jungle Shop.
A Native stands in front of the store. There is Litter on the floor and at the store there is a Rubbish bin. There are 2 announcements on the support posts of the store. Right click twice on the litter and on the 2nd time Faye sees that there is a credit note between the litter. Now left click on the litter to grab that credit note.
Right-click in inventory the Credit note .... it is a voucher for special customers. Left click the native to try to talk to him ...... but the man talks in his dialect ..... "Ooga booga wonga" ..... Faye does not understand this. Walk to the rubbish bin. Left click the rubbish bin ..... initially Faye does not want to search the bin but then she does it anyway and she takes an empty spray bottle from the bin.
Just read the 2 Notices announcements on 2 of the support posts and then enter the store. The Shopkeeper is behind his counter. There are 2 cupboards with things. The left cupboard contains bottles with drinking water and cans with food and there is also a "Ship in a Bottle". In the right cupboard there is a Wooden carving and there is a basket with butterfly Nets. At the bottom right there is a lot of Rope. Various notices have been pasted to the counter, but these are illegible.
Left click on the Wooden carving .......
Faye asks the shopkeeper how much it costs ..... the shopkeeper says that the lump of wood is only for his special customers. Faye asks how she can become a special customer .... special customers are customers who regularly come here to buy something and can earn a voucher with which they can then buy "special items".
Well .... Faye has found such a voucher between the waste, so give the voucher (Credit) to the shopkeeper and .......
Faye may take the wooden statue. So left click the wooden carving again to grab it and store it in inventory.
Leave the store and walk back up (North) to the tourist couple. Talk to the woman again ..... Faye asks if she can borrow the woman's dialect book. The woman wants a souvenir in exchange for her book because she no longer has the money to make a souvenir herself to buy. So give the woman the wooden statue / carving and Faye gets the Translation book.
Go back down to the native at the store. Take the Translation book from inventory and click it on the man and ......
Now Faye can understand the man who says his name is Dave. Dave knows that Jungle Bob. That Bob turns out to be the medicine man who makes health drinks for Dave's tribe and as a thank you Bob is not eaten by Dave and his people. Dave is banned by his people because he talked to tourists .... Dave's people don't like tourists, but Dave does see the benefits like Cheeseburgers and Cola. Dave shows Faye the way to Bob.
After this conversation Faye knows that she has to go north to find that Bob. Right-click to put the Translation book back and then go back up to land back at the tourist couple. Then go up one more screen and Faye ends up on a fork split of the paths.
Down goes back to the tourists but the path splits here to the left and to the right ...
...If you follow the left path then you will see that, on the next screen, a dangerous tiger is blocking Faye's way.
Return quickly and then follow the right path to the next screen. A rope with a noose hangs on the right branch of the bare tree
Right click the noose ..... Fay suspects it is a trap ...... SAVE GAME ...... if you walk on then Faye gets into the noose and it's GAME OVER
Behind the tree, in front of the green hill, is a Stick. Take the Stick
Take the stick immediately from inventory and use it on the noose and .....With the stick Faye ensures that the snare trap is eliminated.
So follow the path further to the next screen. You can then go back down, left and right.
However, do not go to the right because then Faye will be stung by the bees and she will not survive. So go left (West) and ......
Faye ended up at the waterfall. Upstairs is the entrance to a cave. There is a fishing line on a round stone. Take the fishing line.
The cave is above the flat rock and Faye cannot climb there. Take the Vine from inventory and click with it on the front of the Rock face and ........
.... two hours later, when you click the black screen, you have Faye made a ladder from the vine.
So click Jungle vine ladder to climb up and then walk into the cave.
Jungle Bob
This is the cave of Jungle Bob and also the parrot is here. Go talk to Jungle Bob .......
Faye tells Bob her situation and that her passenger urgently needs medical help. Bob knows a cure but he needs time to make it and he needs one more ingredient and that is a "Venus Pride" plant. That plant can be found in the jungle and if Faye wants to go get the plant. Bob gives Faye his "Repellent mixture".
Ok .... so Fay must look for that "Venus Pride" plant. Left click in the cave entrance to climb down again via the vine ladder and then go back one screen to the right. Faye is then back at the swarm of bees. Continue until just before the swarm of bees .... If you try to continue to the right, Faye will die because she will be literally stabbed to death by the bees, so do not walk further than the tree in front of the swarm of bees. Combine in inventory "Bob's Repellent mixture" with the empty Spray can to fill the spray can with the mixture. Then take the spray can from inventory and use it on the Bee swarm to get rid of the swarm.
Then continue to the right and ......... we arrive at the camp of a biologist and his assistant.
There is a book on the large chest. Look at that book ..... it turns out to be a plant encyclopedia. Try to take the book but the biologist sees it and screams that you have to stay away from his book because he needs it for his students. Faye will then continue to talk to the biologist.
Faye asks if she can borrow the plant book for a moment ...... the biologist makes a proposal to Faye ..... eh ...... no no ... no dishonest proposal ...... If Faye caches a "Blue Admiral", a rare butterfly, for the biologist she may borrow the plant book for a while. To catch a butterfly, Faye needs a butterfly net and these are available in the jungle shop. The biologist then gives Faye an empty glass jar to put the butterfly in when she has caught it with the net.
Faye must now go back to the jungle shop, so go 1 screen left, 1 screen down, 1 screen left, 1 screen down ........
the tourist couple has disappeared.
Go further 1 screen down and we are back at the Shop. Enter the Shop again and click on the basket with butterfly nets ........
Faye asks how much a butterfly net costs and that is all her coins.
So give all your coins to the shopkeeper and then grab a butterfly net from the basket.
Leave the store and go back 1 screen up and then 1 screen to the right and ....
... a purple-colored butterfly is flying around ...... Catch the butterfly with the butterfly net ......
you have to click on the butterfly with your net and the butterfly keeps fluttering around .... once you've caught the butterfly, Faye will automatically put the butterfly in the glass jar. Go back one screen to the left, where the tourist couple used to be. A beetle is crawling around here ... Catch the beetle with the butterfly net ...
When you have caught the beetle you go back to the biologist, so screen up to the fork split, screen right and then up and then screen right.
Give the glass jar containing the butterfly to the biologist. Faye may take the plant book, so grab the book that is still on the big chest.
So now continue the search of that "Venus Pride" plant. Go back left and ..... you see the tiger running away to the waterfall. Follow the tiger to the waterfall. A fish always pops up out of the water ...... Combine your pocket knife with the Stick in inventory to cut a long stick. Put the pocket knife away again and then combine the Fishing line with the Stick to make a Fishing pole. Combine the beetle with the fishing pole.
Take the fishing pole from inventory and click it in the river and ......
Faye then catch a Red Herring. Use the fishing rod 2 more times in the river to catch a Silver Perch. When you have caught the red herring and the silver perch you go back to the fork crossing and then follow the left path. The tiger blocks the path ..... Take the Silver Perch from inventory and click with it on the tiger and ......
Faye feeds the tiger the fish and it disappears into the bushes. Further on you see a plant ..... walk on to that plant and then look at the plant ..
... Faye has no idea what kind of plant it is, so use the red plant book on the plant and ....
Faye then knows that this plant is the "Venus Pride" plant. Put the book away and then try to grab the plant, but the plant does not want to be caught and almost bites Fay's hand off. There is a conversation between Faye and the plant. The plant wants to eat its "last supper" before it is picked by Faye ..... the plant wants a nice piece of meats food ... a Rodent
Follow the path further up and ..... a Rodent crawls into its burrow and then reappears behind the bushes. Faye must catch the Rodent to feed it to the plant, but she cannot reach the beast. Take the Pile of branches from inventory and put it in the Burrow .....
Light up the wood with your lighter and ........
... the smoke drives the rodent towards Faye, ....... put away the lighter and catch the Rodent with your butterfly net.
Once you've caught the rodent, walk back down to the plant. Give the Rodent to the plant and .........
the plant eats the mouse and Faye is allowed to grab the plant and she does it automatically. Now back to Jungle Bob, so 2 times to the right, up, and then left and you are back at the waterfall. Climb back through the vine ladder into Bob's cave and give the "Venus pride" plant to Bobbie and ........ Faye gets "Bob's special remedy" from Bob
Leave the cave and return to the fork in the path. Then 1 screen down and then 2 screens to the right. You are back on the screen where you cut off the vine. Up is the crash site but you can also go to the right here ..... Go to the right and ..... Faye ends up at the ravine .....
A wooden bridge hangs over the ravine and near the bridge is a Tiki statue / mask .......
If you try to cross the ravine through the bridge, Faye will fall into the ravine because the bridge hangs up and it's Game Over. Look at the Tiki. Faye can't do anything with it. Walk back left and then up to end up on the crash site and ....... What the hell ...... the passenger has disappeared and there are also no traces to be seen ........ where the passenger lay now lies a Mask.
Grab the Mask and view it in inventory ....... Faye thinks native Dave might be able to help her. So follow the route back to the Jungle Shop and then give the Mask to Dave. Dave is babbling something in native again so use the green dialect book on Dave to hear what he says ......Dave fears that the passenger has been captured by his tribe and that they have taken him to the caves on the other side from the ravine. Dave wants to help Faye cross the ravine and he runs away to meet Faye there.
Put the book away and then return to the ravine ....... Back at the ravine Dave is waiting. Left click on Dave and ....
.... Dave controls the Tiki image so that the bridge drops down ....
Walk over the bridge and then a screen to the right and ........ Faye is then at the cave of the natives tribe. Enter the cave .....
LOOK OUT ...... a "trip wire" blocks the passage to the fresh corpse of the Explorer .....If you walk through or look at the passenger then it is Game Over.
Take your pocket knife and use it on the "trip wire" to cut the wire ....
you will lose the pocket knife as a result. Take the left part of the "Trip wire" to store this piece of wire in inventory .......
Continue to the Explorer corpse. Next to the corpse is a metal box. Left click the metal box to open it and then Left click the opened box and ....... Faye takes a few bars of dynamite from the box. On the left you can go further into the cave, so go one screen to the left and ......... Well ...... 2 natives are about to kill and eat Faye's passenger ....... Faye hides quickly behind a rock and 1 of the natives runs away.
Behind Faye there is a small gray rock ..... Take that rock .... Take the rock immediately from inventory and use it on the native .........
NB:You must click the left arrow to scroll through the inventory to see the dynamite and the rock. .........
With the rock Faye smashes the native unconscious with the rock. Left click the campfire to extract a burning piece of wood from it.
Then use the burning piece of wood on the rope the passenger is hanging on to free the passenger.
Then use "Bob's special remedy" on the passenger to bring him to his positives.
Take the dynamite from inventory and use it on the rock barrier in the back of the cave.
Then use the "trip wire" on the dynamite and then light the wick with the lighter .....
.Faye and her passenger go into cover behind the point rock and then the dynamite explodes and the barrier is cleared
Put the lighter away and then go through the new passage ......
Faye and the passenger end up in the smuggling cave and a conversation follows.
After the conversation you walk further up and then out of the cave and ........ a jeep ....
.... left click the jeep and .....
